Do you love hydrafacial? but fancy something more? If so this new luxury facial may be perfect for you!
The Luxury Hydro2 Facial is the ultimate 5-star facial. It includes 7-technologies in total. It contains a hydrafacial treatment but also utilises 6 other technologies to deliver outstanding results for all skin types and concerns.
Using this device Cheshire Lasers can offer a range of different facials to deliver brightening, tightening, anti-ageing as well as clearing skin
The treatments are customisable to all skin types to meet all skin needs and vary from 30 to 110 mins.
Our Luxury Hydro2 Facial incorporates all 7 steps and is the ultimate pamper package.
Here are the 7 treatment technologies which can be incorporated into your Hydro2 Facial:
Treatment 1: The Hydro Deep Cleanse
Similar to the Hydrafacial this uses a combination of three solutions to cleanse and smooth the skin using an AHA & BHA based solutions. It hydrates and nourishes the skin infusing lactic, salicylic and hyaluronic acid to deeply cleanse, purify and hydrate.
Treatment 2: Exfoliation
This treatment step uses a vibrational cleansing tool and a choice of exfoliation products. It utilises ‘the Bohr effect’ to allow oxygen to be drawn into the skin. The active ingredients can include Kojic Acid and Retinol which result in a hydrating and brightening effect.
Treatment 3: Radiofrequency Skin Tightening
This step uses Radio Frequency technology to increase collagen reproduction. We recommend this step for skin with early and late signs of ageing.
Treatment 4: Skin Lifting with Electro-ion technology
The Electro-ion technology creates skin lifting by stimulating muscle contraction. It is similar to CACI and works well for jowl and eyebrow lifting.
It uses electroporation which also increases the absorbency of the skins cells for product penetration. This allows our time defence and brightening serums to penetrate deeper into the skin.
This, in turn, revitalises and ‘wakes up’ dull and lifeless skin
Treatment 5: Fire & Ice
5 A – The ‘Fire’ represents the heat element during treatment. The handpiece uses heat to open the pores, increase blood supply and aid product infusion.
5 B – The ‘Ice’ a Cryo facial that uses cooling technology, chilling the skin down to 5℃. This step comes at the end of each facial. It decreases the blood supply, giving a tightening effect and sealing in the infused products. It also helps to reduce any redness following treatment.
Treatment 6: Ultrasound / Hydration
This step uses ultrasound technology to infuse a hydrating collagen-rich serum from a mask for maximum penetration.
Treatment 7: Oxygenation
The Oxygenation spray is used to apply a hydrating serum. It creates a Venturi effect which breaks down the serum molecules and encourages maximum absorption. This helps to deliver intense skin hydration.
Applying oxygen to the skin using this method helps to increase cell metabolism and improve these concerns. Some bacteria are not able to live in oxygen, so applying oxygen to the skin will give this anti-bacterial effect, having a positive effect on congestion.
Which Hydro2 Facial should I have?
We can deliver a range of bespoke facials using these 7 technologies and can also add on Dermalux LED according to your requirements.
Here is a list of some of the most popular ones:
The Radiofrequency Collagen Stimulating Hydro2 Facials
The Luxury Ultimate 5-star Hydro2 Facial – 100 mins all 7 treatments listed above.
Radiofrequency Hydro2 Facial- 70 mins – Treatments 1, 3, 6 and 7
Radiofrequency Facial for Neck and or Face- 50-70 mins – Treatment 3
HYDROFACIAL – 5* ultimate facial!! Everything you could ever want in one facial! I’ve experienced many facials over the years, but this treatment absolutely blows everything else out of the water!! Highly recommended – it combines a traditional hydra facial with radio frequency (using a much improved and more superior machine), together with muscle stimulation and tightening (similar to a CACI facial – of which I’m a huge fan). It doesn’t stop there, my therapist Natasha continued the treatment with lots of anti-ageing and hydrating serums and a gel mask infused with collagen and antioxidants, which was stimulated using sonic vibration. The final stages were an oxygen facial and finally a cryo-facial. As I stated, this 5* facial combines absolutely everything!!
My therapist, Natasha was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, she explained every procedure and highlighted the benefits!!
The results are AMAZING, my skin is positively glowing and lifted! Definitely a red carpet treatment. Give it a try, I promise you, you won’t be disappointed
The CACI Eye Revive Treatment is performed by our Cheshire Lasers Aestheticians.
The new CACI Eye Revive treatment is a must-have for anyone concerned with ageing around the delicate eye area.
This gentle treatment:
Soothes tired, puffy eyes
Combats dark circles
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Lifts hooded eyes
What is a CACI Eye Revive treatment?
The CACI Eye Revive treatment involves three steps.
Step 1:
This involves micro-current to gently tighten and tone sagging muscles around the eye area whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Step 2:
The treatment then uses serum-filled CACI micro-current eye rollers to infuse the CACI Eye Revive serum deep into the skin. The roller ball is used to perform a drainage massage. The drainage massage helps to eliminate toxins around the eye area these actions help reduce puffiness and dark circles.
The Eye Revive serum contains REGU®-AGE and other clinically effective ingredients which, have been shown to reduce puffiness by up to 31% and dark circles up to 35%.
Step 3:
The deeply nourishing Hydro Eye Mask is then applied to soothe and calm the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles further.
The Hydro Eye Mask feels and smells divine. The cooling sensation around the eyes is relaxing and leaves the eyes looking brighter and more hydrated. The mask contains hyaluronic acid, collagen, green tea and cucumber to help plump out fine lines and wrinkles.
Am I suitable for a CACI Eye Revive treatment?
The CACI Eye Revive treatment is suitable for all skin types and delivers impressive results to keep you looking fresh and revived.
How many Eye Revive treatments will I need?
Cheshire Lasers recommends a course of ten CACI Eye Revive treatments for optimum results. We also advise you to book the sessions close together; however, a one-off session is also beneficial and the perfect ‘pick me up’. It instantly wakes tired eyes and makes you feel vibrant and confident.
If you have a wedding or a special occasion coming up, a one-off will give a quick lift around the eye area. The perfect confidence boost!
It takes around 35 minutes per session. So you could have one in your lunch break and go back to work all revived!
At Cheshire Lasers, we often combine the CACI Eye Revive with other CACI treatments. The most popular combination is the CACI Jowl Lift with the Eye Revive.
Who do you recommend the Glo Triple Transformation Peel for:
We recommend the Glo Triple Transformation Peel for all but sensitive skin types. It’s good for from dry to oily skin, dull or uneven skin tone and ageing skin and helps reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles and acne.
It is a modified Jessner formula featuring a combination of effective acids to deliver a level 4 peel.
What ingredients are in the Peel?
The key ingredients are:
14% Resorcinol: Targets rough-textured skin. It can also have a numbing effect on the skin.
14% Lactic acid: Gently exfoliates; improves skin tone, texture and fine lines.
14% Salicylic acid: Stimulates exfoliation; helps clear pores and promotes new cell growth.
It also contains smaller amounts of the following: Alcohol Denat, Wine Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Lycopene, Water, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Carnosine, Niacinamide, Phenyl t-Butylnitrone.
How often should I have a treatment?
We recommend the Glo Triple Transformation Peel three to four times per year.
What does a Glo Triple Transformation Peel involve?
This treatment is a medium strength peel, it provides a level 4 Exfoliation and is designed to create a more dramatic change in the skin.
You will need a patch test at least 24-48 hours prior to treatment.
This treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Most people experience peeling which usually starts on day three and often lasts up to a week.
The peel can be layered 1-4 times during your treatment. We usually recommend only one layer at your first treatment and this can be built up at subsequent treatments if you want a more dramatic peeling effect/ result.
It takes up to 3 months to see the best results from the peel
What should I do if I would like to try this peel?
You will need a consultation to discuss the peel and discuss your skincare regime. We will perform a patch test for the peel and discuss what to expect.
For best results we recommend you prepare the with a combination of products containing retinol, AHA and or BHA for roughly 18 weeks.
We then recommend that you stop using these products 4-5 days before treatment
What is the aftercare?
We will supply you with barrier balm to apply after the peel to soothe the skin while it is peeling.
You must not pick the peeling skin as this can cause an uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and even scarring. s
You must wear SPF and avoid the sun.
Do not restart your usual skincare routine until your skin has stopped peeling.
Cheshire Lasers is excited to now have the Ultraformer MF2 wrinkle treatment.
The sensitive and shallow regions around the eye, the mouth and the forehead can now be treated with ultrasound technology with ease due to the newly developed MF2 Ultraformer Treatment.
What can the MF2 Ultraformer Wrinkle Cartridge treat?
The great news is that we can improve fine lines and wrinkles with only one treatment. However, we recommend a course of around three treatments for best results. Different people respond differently and have their skin has different needs and starting points.
We have treated upper lips with the Ultraformer MF2 with considerable success so far. This is an excellent treatment for smokers lines and would suit someone who is afraid to have Dermal Fillers but wants improvement to the area with no downtime.
This treatment is also suitable for someone who has had fillers in that area already, and the lines are starting to come back, but they are not ready for more fillers.
The Perioral Area
The area in the image is treated to improve fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment improves the smokers lines and the cobblestone effect that can occur in this area due to age and sun-damage.
The Under Eye Area
We have treated the under eye area the Ultraformer MF2 and seen impressive results so far.
This area is challenging to improve; in the past, the treatments we have tried have required many repeat treatments and given only slight improvements or have been too invasive, requiring an extended downtime.
The MF2 treatment may only require three treatments, and there is no downtime.
There is the option to also treat the crow’s feet and part of the upper eyelid with this treatment.
The treatment feels like warm pulses of ultrasound energy, which may feel uncomfortable for some people. Treatment around the mouth and perioral areas may feel sensitive in the teeth momentarily.
How many Ultraformer MF2 treatments will I need?
Some people will see a small improvement after one treatment but generally, we recommend a course of 3 treatments once a month. However, this will depend on the severity of the condition to start with and the collagen stimulation response of each client.
At Cheshire Lasers, we have found fine lines and wrinkles that have been there a few years have needed 2-3 treatments. Whereas lines that have been there many years have required at least 5 or 6 procedures.
Can I have the Ultraformer MF2 treatment if I have Botox or fillers?
The MF2 treatment is an alternative treatment to fillers; however, it can be used alongside a filler treatment to create even better results.
If a dermal filler is in the treatment area, we ask that you leave three months for the filler to integrate with the tissues before having an Ultraformer treatment. For Botox, the MF2 treatment can be performed in the same area 2 weeks after the injections.
How long will the Ultraformer MF2 results last for?
Following the final treatment session of the course, it will take 60-100 days for the collagen to stimulate and for the full results to be visible. The results can last up to 12 months. However most people like to have a maintenance treatment every 2-4 months.
Are there any side effects to the Ultraformer MF2 treatment?
Common side effects after the treatment are redness and swelling. This normally reduces a few hours after and you can go back to your regular daily activities straight away.
Bruising can occur, which is more likely around the eye area.
Am I suitable for an Ultraformer MF2 treatment?
We do not recommend the Ultraformer treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you have teeth implants in the treatment area or metal braces. However invisaline braces, veneers and fillings are all fine.
Profhilo is currently one of the most popular treatments at Cheshire Lasers
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a completely new product that uses patented technologies engineered for ‘skin remodelling’. It is made from hyaluronic acid (HA) like many Dermal Fillers however rather than filling lines it is designed to promote collagen and elastin growth to reduce skin laxity.
Thanks to the unique characteristics of Profhilo, improving skin laxity is easily obtained in only two sessions, with a 1-month interval, and only five injection points on each side of the face. Profhilo is suitable for practically anyone, men and women, from 30 years old and with no upper age limit.
Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable HA based product for treating skin laxity.
With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg/2ml) it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue. As a stabilised product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore, we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening/lifting effect on the tissue.
Profhilo is licensed as a Medical device and has a European CE Mark. The treatment is temporary as the HA completely breaks down within the skin, leaving no trace.
Can you combine Profhilo with other treatments?
Profhilo delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments currently on offer.
Treated areas shouldn’t be reinjected with any other products within 2 weeks of the initial procedure.
Unless the same doctor/ nurse is performing the treatments we recommend, Botulinum Toxin should be injected two weeks prior or 2 weeks after a Profhilo treatment.
We recommend you leave a 2 weeks window pre and post any Microdermabrasion, chemical peel, facial or IPL treatment.
Fractional resurfacing 3–4 weeks distant.
We do not recommend Profhilo treatment in the immediate period following other routine medical procedures (including vaccination) and dental procedures. At Cheshire Lasers, we recommend you leave a 2-week window pre and post-Prohilo treatment.
What happens during a Profhilo Treatment?
During the treatment, we inject the product using very fine needles in five specific points on the face. These are called the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs).
At Cheshire Lasers, we usually perform Profhilo using this BAP technique. It makes the treatment effective and simple, reducing the chance of pain, bruising or haematoma at the injection sites.
Once injected, the product immediately starts spreading under the skin and disperses evenly, integrating within the skin’s existing tissue.
How long do the results last?
You should notice the results of the treatment – increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of your skin for around six months.
However, other factors can affect the results, such as your age, your lifestyle and your skin’s natural ageing process.
How many Profhilo treatments will I need?
For most patients, we recommend an initial course of two treatment sessions, with an interval of one month between sessions.
We then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions approximately every six months, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.
How much is a Profhilo treatment?
A single 2ml treatment is approximately £300- 325. The price varies according to the practitioner and their experience.
The following doctors and nurses provide Profhilo you can view their prices on their page:
Are there any side effects from Profhilo treatment?
Immediately after treatment, lumps are noticeable at the injection sites and look like midgey bites. The lumps reduce quickly over a few hours and usually disappear by the next morning.
You may experience redness, itching, discolouration and tenderness at the injection site. These effects are mild and usually fade quickly.
Bruising can occur and may last several days, sometimes a bit longer.
Is Profhilo suitable for everyone?
Profhilo is suitable for anyone who is looking for treatment for the signs of ageing skin.
Cheshire Lasers Clinic offers a wide range of PRP Treatments.
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical treatment that utilizes your body’s healing abilities to stimulate skin healing, repair and recovery. It has the power to trigger your body’s own tissue regeneration potential. It is a natural treatment that uses the platelets from your blood. When activated platelets secrete and release at least 7 different growth factors which enhance the natural healing processes. They also stimulate collagen growth to rejuvenate the skin, improve the blood supply to the tissues and can greatly improve skin tone and texture. It also reduces fine lines and wrinkles and can stimulate hair growth in the hair follicles.
PRP has been thoroughly investigated, and it is used for medical treatments. Doctors use PRP for nerve injury, tendinitis, osteoarthritis, cardiac muscle injury, bone repair and regeneration, plastic surgery and oral surgery. PRP also helps treat sports injuries in professional athletes to stimulate healing for skin wounds and burns.
What does PRP treatment involve?
This innovative technique involves centrifuging a small sample of blood to separate it into different components. Your practitioner will extract the PRP component from the sample and prepare it for injection.
Using a small sterile needle, your practitioner will inject the PRP in and around the treatment area.
Alternatively, some of our practitioners apply the PRP on the skin after microneedling. This creates lots of tiny channels in the skin due to microneedling, which allows the PRP to penetrate the tissues.
What types of PRP treatments are available?
At Cheshire Lasers, we use PRP on the face, neck, scalp, hands and other body areas for skin rejuvenation with sometimes astonishing results.
Treatment of the face with PRP has been called the vampire facial or Dracula facial on various reality TV shows such as Cheshire Housewives. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian have had this treatment to rejuvenate their skin.
PRP- Face, hands, decolletage, scarring & skin
Skin becomes plump, brighter and rejuvenated; fine lines and wrinkles reduce. The skin’s hydration and contours improve to create a youthful, radiant bloom.
It successfully reduces crow’s feet and wrinkles around the lips, nose and mouth. It is popular for the tear trough area giving a more natural appearance.
It is also used for the rejuvenation of intimate areas in men and women to rejuvenate the skin, which can help a variety of conditions such as skin dryness as well as reduce sexual function problems.
PRP for Hair Loss
The high number of growth factors in PRP will strengthen hair follicles and improve hair loss & thinning hair. For hair loss we recomend six treatments over 12 months. One every month for three months and then one every three months for nine months.
How many PRP treatments will I need?
A course of treatments one every month gives the best results. The number of treatments you require depends on the problem. Often you will need at least three treatments.
What are the benefits of PRP:
No surgery/ no anaesthetic
Completely safe and natural – no synthetic substances/no danger of allergic reactions or infections
Walk-in Walk-out procedure – minimal disruption to your day
Virtually painless, plus fast results and fast recovery
How much does PRP cost at Cheshire Lasers?
PRP treatments cost between £400 to £600 / session
Who performs the PRP treatments at Cheshire Lasers?
At Cheshire Lasers, we provide many treatments for Skin Rejuvenation.
You can achieve brighter, younger skin using chemical or physical agents to increase the skin’s cell turnover, stimulate collagen production, reduce lines and wrinkles and even skin tone.
Cheshire Lasers Clinic provides a variety of rejuvenation treatments to suit different skin types and skin concerns; for optimum results, you may need a combination of treatments.
There are so many for you to choose from:
Radiofrequency Skin Tightening
Radiofrequency technology stimulates collagen, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing the saggy appearance of skin. It, therefore, tightens plumps and brightens skin.
Cheshire Lasers has two Radiofrequency devices, Thermaclinic, which is excellent for treating eyes, upper lips and full faces. Endymed works deeper and is the best for treating the cheeks and neck area.
Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling uses the most advanced technology to improve skin texture and tone and promote collagen growth to deliver plump, healthy, firmer-looking skin. It is excellent for improving ageing skin and scars but also has an impressive lifting-tightening effect. It works well all over the face, including the fine lines around the mouth and eyes.
CACI microcurrent treatments are “the original non-surgical facelift”. They involve the use of applying tiny microcurrents to re-educates your muscles. The treatments lift sagging muscles; tone and tighten; improve the colour and texture of the skin; stimulate collagen production, and help delay the ageing process.
Microneedling
Microneedling is an excellent treatment for skin tightening, reducing lines and wrinkles, reducing pore size, reducing scars and general skin rejuvenation.
At Cheshire Lasers, our specialists use two electronic needle devices for skin rejuvenation. They deliver less painful treatments with less downtime than the usual Dermaroller treatments.
This medical-grade treatment removes the entire stratum corneum and helps reduce the superficial signs of ageing. In addition, repeated microdermabrasion treatments at regular intervals may influence how the lower layers of skin grow and remove deeper blemishes over time.
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment that brightens the skin to give an instant glow. A sterile scalpel is used to gently and safely remove dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin (epidermis). It leaves the skin more receptive to serums and moisturisers. It also increases cell renewal and collagen and elastin production, delivering a more youthful and rejuvenated complexion.
This treatment removes the vellus hair (peach fuzz) on the skin’s surface. The result is silky smooth skin so that you can apply makeup flawlessly.
Using the Intense Pulsed Light system, we can reduce signs of ageing caused by sun damage. For example, we can reduce or even remove blemishes such as brown spots (pigmentation) and redness (thread veins).
Sensitive areas around the eye, mouth and forehead can be easily treated with ultrasound technology. In addition; the newly developed MF2 Ultraformer Treatmentstimulates collagen to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in these areas.
At Cheshire Lasers, we have the Dermalux LED skin rejuvenation treatment in red, infrared and blue. This allows us to treat you with 2 or 3 lights simultaneously. The red and infrared lights are great for anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation. TBluelight is excellent for reducing oily skin and bacteria in acne sufferers.
Profhilo is an injectable treatment which stimulates collagen and elastin in the top layers of the skin. After a course of treatments, the skin becomes plumper and more hydrated, and it can even bring about some lifting and firming of the skin.
The “HydraFacial” combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection simultaneously. This hydrafacial delivers clearer, more beautiful skin with no discomfort or downtime. The treatment is soothing, moisturising, non-invasive and non-irritating.
Using Injectable Collagen Stimulators like Sculptra, Ellanse and Harmonica. Your skin can appear more firmer, tighter and hydrated, and they can also add volume for a lifting effect.
ThermaClinic is a Radiofrequency treatment available at Cheshire Lasers. It offers an effective and comfortable way to achieve facial skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. After a course of treatments, you can enjoy tighter, younger looking skin with improved skin tone, texture and elasticity.
The ThermaClinic is a safe, clinically proven system for treatment of facial wrinkles and skin tightening. Virtually pain-free, the ThermaClinic with AMFLI technology (Automatic Multi-Frequency & Low Impedance RF) tightens skin and renews facial contours by reshaping your skin.
Is the treatment effective?
Yes – the system has been designed by dermatologists and proven to be highly effective for hundreds of people.
Cheshire Lasers has been providing ThermaClinic Radiofrequency treatments for almost 10 years and it is still very popular.
A bipolar applicator transmits Radiofrequency (RF) energy into the skin. The energy gently heats the skin which promotes accelerated collagen production and contraction of collagen fibres to restructure and tighten the skin.
What does a ThermaClinic treatment involve?
A thin layer of gel is applied to the face and an applicator delivering the Radiofrequency current is moved in circular motions to warm the skin. The desired skin temperature is reached quickly and then maintained for 2 to 3 minutes. Typically each treatment session lasts 30 to 45 minutes. The gel is removed and a cooling lotion is applied.
Am I suitable for treatment?
Yes, ThermaClinic is suitable for most individuals. However, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, treatment is not advisable. If you have metalwork in the facial area, please discuss this with us further. Simple fillings and dental implants are usualy not a problem but metalwork inserted following facial fractures and metal braces can be a problem.
What should I expect after treatment?
Your skin may be pink for a short time after treatment but this will subside quickly. You can continue with life as normal and will not need any special aftercare. Immediately after treatment, the contraction of collagen fibres improves skin elasticity and the skin may appear firmer. However, the benefits are progressive and the full effect is generally seen 2 to 3 months after a series of treatments. See one of our case studies.
View a video of this treatment
How many treatments are necessary?
A course of 6 to 8 treatments – at 1 to 2 weekly intervals.
How does the treatment feel?
Treatment is not painful – most people actually comment on how pleasurable and relaxing the heating sensation is! Treatment is comfortable due to the unique, multi frequency technology of ThermaClinic.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are extremely rare.
You can experience slight, short term discomfort.
Oedema (swelling) and erythema (redness) can occur but will disappear within a few minutes or hours.
Very rarely you may notice a red blemish on the face where skin may have got too hot. This usually settles after a few days.
Consultation procedure prior to treatment
At Cheshire Lasers, we ask that you undergo a consultation with one of our Aestheticians before starting a ThermaClinic Radiofrequency treatment. They will asses your medical history and confirm you are suitable for treatment. It is also important that we discuss and understand your expectations so they can discuss whether the treatment will provide you with the results you are hoping for. They will then ask you to complete a consent form.
What do our Cheshire Lasers Clients think About Thermaclinic Radiofrequency?
Review from Alex:
I have been having ThermaClinic treatments regularly for a number of years now and I have found that the treatments help to give a lifting and firming effect on my face and neck. I especially like this treatment as it is comfortable and pleasant to have done and does not irritate my sensitive skin in any way. I also feel that the treatments are good value for money when compared with other anti-ageing treatments. I would definitely recommend ThermaClinic, at Cheshire Lasers, to help improve skin elasticity and maintain firmness.
Review from Judith:
I have been having ThermaClinic radiofrequency treatment at Cheshire Lasers for several years now. After the initial course of 6, I saw an improvement in my skin and softening of my forehead, eye and upper lip wrinkles. I continued to have maintenance treatments every 6 to 8 weeks and overtime my wrinkles were zapped away and have not come back. My friends seem to be more and more aged looking and wrinkly each year, but I have not aged hardly at all thanks to ThermaClinic.
Review from Clare:
I have recently started a course of Thermaclinic treatments. I was very nervous as I have not had treatments like this before. I have enjoyed the treatments as they are relaxing. So I am excited to see the end result as even after a few treatments my skin looks and feels much healthier. Quite a few people have said how well I look. I would definitely recommend ThermaClinic to people who want to look better but are nervous about having more invasive treatments
At Cheshire Lasers Clinic we are often asked: “How can you remove my pigmentation?”
There are many types of pigmentation with lots of different causes; some can be treated more easily than others. At Cheshire Lasers, we also have many different treatments that can help you.
The way we treat your pigmentation is based on:
It’s cause
Your skin type
Most importantly; your preferences
How do I decide which Pigmentation treatment to choose from?
At Cheshire Lasers, we offer a wide range of pigmentation removal products and treatments. This makes it hard to decide what to do.
Some treatments work quicker and are better than others. However, these treatments also tend to cause more side effects, more downtime and are more aggressive.
The gentler treatments tend to take much longer to work. You, therefore, have to be patient and make sure you follow the recommended treatment protocol.
Why have I got Pigmentation?
Your skin gets its colour from a pigment called melanin. Special cells called melanocytes in the skin make melanin. When these cells become damaged or if they are activated for any reason, it affects melanin production.
Pregnancy, Addison’s disease, sun exposure and some medication such as the combined pill can all make your skin darker.
Your genes often have something to do with your pigmentation with some of us being born with freckles. If you have a darker skin tone such as Asian, Mediterranean or African, you are usually more prone to pigmentation problems.
You are also more prone to pigmentation if you have had excessive sun exposure.
Post-Inflammatory Pigmentation (PIH) can arise if your skin is chronically inflamed – it can be common in people who battle with dermatitis/eczema, acne and Addison’s disease. PIH can also occur after a single episode of trauma.
Once you have pigmentation, you can treat it and reduce it. You can also prevent it by wearing very high sun protection and avoiding harmful sun rays. However, treatment does not usually mean you will be free of it forever. Pigmentation generally will always come back, if you continue with the same lifestyle.
If you have problem pigmentation often lifestyle measures and maintenance treatments are required to keep it under control.
At Cheshire Lasers, Pigmentation Removal Treatments are provided by:
Dr Teri Johnson uses the topical prescription systems provided by The Obagi NuDerm system or ZO Skin Health Medical System for moderate to severe pigmentation problems. She also uses the popular Cysteamine Cream, which is her first choice for moderate to severe pigmentation problems in darker skin or with Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Natasha Tavernor, Level 4 Laser / IPL Technician.
Natasha uses IPL and sometimes the ND Yag to treat pigmentation with our Lynton Lumina ASQ system.
She also uses Cysteamine Cream, an excellent home treatment for specific skin types and problems. Natasha also uses the ZO Medical system for pigmentation problems. However, she is only able to recommend Skin Health products. The ZO Medical topical products are available on prescription only.
Natasha also performs various facials, peels and resurfacing treatments (listed below) designed to improve mild to moderate pigmentation.
Aesthetic Nurse Moira Grobiki
Moira performs the Perfect Peel, a moderately aggressive peel that can help moderate pigmentation problems.
What do I do if I want pigmentation removal at Cheshire Lasers?
We recommend an initial consultation with one of our specialists for pigmentation problems before starting any treatment.
It is helpful to know what sort of treatment you are interested in so we can book you with the right person.
If you are considering starting any pigmentation treatment, ensure you are not planning sun exposure for the next few months. If you go out in the sun, you will need to cover the area with a very high factor of sun protection and keep the area covered.
The sun will stimulate pigmentation and undo the results of your treatments. It can also increase the risk of complications in your treatment.
During your consultation
We will examine your skin, take a medical history and help you decide on the most suitable treatment for you. We will also discuss the risks, costs and recovery period associated with the procedures you are considering.
Treatments for Pigmentation Removal at Cheshire Lasers:
This treatment is usually only suitable for skin types 1 to 3.
Before starting treatment, we may recommend you use a lightening skin product from one of our skincare product ranges 2- 6 weeks before starting an IPL or Laser treatment. This is often required for skins that are darker or are more prone to pigmentation.
For IPL and Laser treatment, please book a consultation with Natasha, our laser technician. She can advise how to proceed and if you are ready to go ahead with the treatment, she can do a test patch at the time of the consultation.
Cysteamine Cream
Cystamine is a skin-lightening agent used to treat hyperpigmentation disorders such as age spots, melasma and post-inflammatoryhyperpigmentation.
This novel treatment is a highly effective alternative to prescription treatments such as hydroquinone and tretinoin. It can be used in all skin types, including dark skin and is a great option for stubborn pigmentation, including melasma and post-inflammatory pigmentation.
We can also treat pigmentation with topical prescription products. At Cheshire Lasers, we use the famous Obagi NuDerm system or the ZO Medical System. Created by the same doctor, they both give fantastic results as long as you have the patience to use them.
These systems give fantastic results with Melasma; even after a few weeks use, the pigment usually looks so much better. You need to continue on the system for 18 weeks, after which your skin usually looks great. After 18 weeks, you must go on to a simpler maintenance regime to avoid rebound pigmentation. If you suddenly stop the treatment, the pigment usually comes back. Occasionally stubborn Melasma may need a peel to complete the treatment on this system.
For Prescription products, book with Dr Teri Johnson for a consultation.
Some people prefer to treat their pigmentation with a peel. This is usually recommended if you have large areas of pigmentation. The advantages of the perfect peel is the minimal downtime compared to IPL and lasers, and the process is pain-free.
After one application age spots are remarkably lighter and many people are happy. However, a course of 3 peels may be required for stubborn pigment or if you want the pigment to be unnoticeable.
The ingredients not only improve pigmentation but also increase collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin that is brighter and tighter. Find out more about the perfect peel here.
The Perfect Peel can be used on its own for Melasma in fair-skinned patients. Peels should be used very carefully for darker skin types and often a combination of treatments are required as they are associated with a risk of post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation after any skin injury. Hence a consultation is required before having this peel.
For the Perfect Peel, please book a consultation with Aesthetic Nurse Moira or Dr Priyanka.
The challenge of treating Melasma and pigmentation is that it commonly relapses after treatment.
The most important way of preventing pigmentation is to wear good sun protection all year round and a sun block in the Summer.
Try and avoid any other triggers that may stimulate the problem.
To prevent Melasma and stubborn pigmentation returning maintenance therapy is required. You can opt for repeat treatments once the pigment has returned. However, we usually recommend selected topical skin care. If you start it immediately after treatment with regular reviews at the clinic in case your regime needs changing, we can help you manage the pigmentation to reduce the risk of it returning.
For a more holistic approach, there is increasing evidence that diet has a significant impact on skin inflammation, post-inflammatory acne, and Melasma. If you struggle with pigmentation and can not get it under control. We highly recommend an assessment with Dr Priyanka at Cheshire Lasers to look at your Pigmentation, your removal treatments so far and to explore this holistic approach.

Importantly Endymed 3DEEP RF delivers these clinical results without pain or down-time and with an excellent safety profile for all skin tones and colours.

How does Endymed DEEP Facial Tightening Work?
A form of energy called RF is applied to the skin to gently heat the skin, promoting accelerated collagen production and contraction of collagen fibres to restructure and tighten the skin. Endymed 3DEEP provides a focused and deep heating of the skin without pain. The 3DEEP unique and patented technology has multiple electrodes, multiple RF sources and a sophisticated phase control which works to drive the RF energy deep into the target tissue in the skin, comfortably and safely.
What happens during an Endymed DEEP Facial Tightening Treatment?
Our Aesthetician will cleanse your face and apply a thin layer of gel. An applicator that delivers the RF current is moved in circular motions over the skin and the skin will heat up. Our Aesthetician will treat each area until the desired temperature is reached and it is maintained for 2 to 3 minutes. Typically each treatment session lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

Am I suitable for Endymed DEEP Facial Tightening?
Endymed DEEP Facial Tightening is suitable for most individuals.
However, if you are pregnant or breast feeding, treatment is not advisable. If you have metal work in the facial area, please discuss this with us further. Simple filings and dental implants are usualy not a problem but metal work inserted following facial fractures and metal braces can be a problem.
What should I expect after treatment?
Your skin may be pink for a short time after treatment but this will subside quickly. You will not need any special after care. However we will still recommend SPF to block shows harmful UV rays.
Immediately after treatment, the contraction of collagen fibres improves skin elasticity and the skin may appear firmer. However, the benefits are progressive and you will not see the full results until 2 to 3 months after a series of treatments.
How many treatments do I need?
For best results you will need a course of 6 to 8 treatments every 10 to 14 days.
How does the treatment feel?
The Endymed treatment is not painful – most people actually comment on how pleasurable and relaxing the heating sensation is! Treatment is comfortable due to the unique, technology of Endymed DEEP Facial Tightening.
Are there any side effects from Endymed Treatments?
Side effects are extremely rare.
Slight, short term discomfort can occur, this is usually easily tolerated. Oedema (swelling) and erythema (redness) can occur, but will disappear within a few hours.
