Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion

A chemical peel uses an active solution to lift away dull or damaged surface skin so that fresher skin comes through. Peels are used for skin that looks tired or uneven, for pigmentation and sun damage, for congestion and breakouts, and for fine lines. Microdermabrasion does a similar job by polishing the surface of the skin instead of using acids.

They range from gentle treatments that brighten the skin with little or no visible peeling, through to stronger medical peels. Our skin aestheticians carry out BioRePeel, the Obagi Blue Peel Radiance, the ZO peels, microdermabrasion and the pHformula treatments; the pHformula TCA Touch medical peel is done by Dr Drinnan. If you are not sure which would suit you, book a Skin Assessment Consultation and we will look at your skin and suggest one.

At Cheshire Lasers Clinic we currently offer the following Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion Treatments.

  • TCA Touch Medical Peel
Our strongest pHformula peel. TCA is normally an aggressive acid, but pHformula’s PH-DVC delivery complex carries it into the deeper layers to work there rather than damaging the surface.
  • BioRePeel 35% TCA
An innovative medical peel that contains TCA for a more advanced result, but with minimal downtime and flaking. A quick treatment with instant results, suitable for all skin types.
  • ZO Restorative Peel
Dr Obagi’s gentlest peel, for dull, dry or redness-prone skin and for sensitive skin that is also acne-prone. Lactic, citric and mandelic acids restore luminosity, texture and tone.
  • pHformula Skin Resurfacing
In-clinic resurfacing that stimulates collagen and new skin cells for fresher, healthier skin while preserving the integrity of the epidermis.
  • pHformula Oily and Congested Facial Treatment
For oily, congested skin. An antibacterial, anti-inflammatory treatment that decongests and regulates oil production while keeping the skin hydrated. We start gently and go stronger as your skin allows.
  • Obagi Blue Peel Radiance
A gentle blend of salicylic, glycolic and lactic acid that exfoliates the surface layers for brighter, smoother, tighter-looking skin with little or no downtime. Usually taken as a course of four to six.
  • pHformula CR Facial Treatment for Redness
For chronic redness and inflamed skin. A tailored treatment that calms redness, strengthens the capillary walls and smooths texture. We start gently and build up the strength as your skin allows.
  • pHformula Radiance Boost Treatments
A vitamin C treatment for dull skin, pigmentation and sun damage. Pure L-ascorbic acid, retinol and hyaluronic acid, useful before and after sun exposure and as a preventative.
  • Hydro2 Facial
The Hydro2 Facial combines up to 7 technologies to improve your skin texture and hydration. The standard treatment cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, hydrates, and provides antioxidant protection. You can also add on radiofrequency and oxygenation treatments.
  • ZO Acne and Oil Control Peels
For oily, congested skin. The ZO acne and oil control treatment combined with a stimulator or restorative peel to reduce oil production, large pores and inflammation. Done by our skin aestheticians.
  • Microdermabrasion
Our medical-grade microdermabrasion treatment removes the stratum corneum to reduce the superficial signs of ageing and scarring. Repeated treatments at regular intervals may stimulate collagen.
  • ZO Stimulator Peels
Known in the States as the red carpet peel: gentle on the skin but strong enough to brighten and refresh the face, and chosen when there is no time to hide away afterwards.
