Brazilian / Hollywood Bikini Hot Waxing

intimate Hollywood Brazilian Bikini waxing Middlewich Cheshire

Jade provides Brazilian and Hollywood Bikini hot waxing for women at Cheshire Lasers Clinic. She has many years of experience and provides this treatment to a high standard.

What does intimate hot waxing involve?

The hot wax is spread thickly onto the skin and allowed to dry slightly before it is gently peeled away. The hair comes away with the wax, leaving behind smooth skin. This is different to traditional waxing, which involves warm wax and strips. Hot wax does not stick to the skin, so it is better for more sensitive areas.

Although the treatment may be uncomfortable, the hot wax method is far less painful than most and pulls hair directly from the roots. The benefits include fewer ingrown hairs, less breakage and therefore longer re-growth periods.

The most popular treatments are the Brazilian and the Hollywood. Our therapists have been performing these treatments for many years.

What’s the difference between Hollywood Wax vs Brazilian Wax?

The Brazilian Hot Wax

Brazilian bikini waxes were introduced to New York in 1987 by 7 Brazilian-born sisters. The Brazilian remains a popular hair removal method in the US.

Brazilian waxes differ from regular bikini waxes because hair is removed in the front, back, and everything in between. A “landing strip” is typically left in the front.

The Hollywood Hot Wax

The Hollywood wax removes all the bikini hair, so you are entirely hair-free.

The Thong Bikini Hot Wax

The hair is taken from around the front and sides, but the middle (labia) and around the back are left alone.

If you wear a thong and want your down there to be smooth and hair-free without feeling too bare, this is a good option.

The shape of the hair at the front is totally up to you, but a landing strip is a classic option. Other popular shapes include a tiny triangle and a postage stamp but feel free to ask for whatever style you prefer.

Who provides Brazilian and Hollywood Bikini Waxing at Cheshire Lasers?

Jade has her own Business, Beautology. She specialises in Brazilian and Hollywood Bikini hot waxing and has been performing these treatments for years. She uses premium lycon wax, which is fantastic for those intimate areas. She has received some fantastic reviews and comes highly recommended. Jade is available four days a week, including some late evenings, and she also works some Saturdays.

How much is intimate waxing?

Intimate hot waxing with Jade starts at £25 for a standard high bikini.

Pre-Treatment Advice

Exfoliate the area lightly a few days before the treatment (2-3 times a week). This will help prepare the skin and reduce ingrowing hairs.

Take a shower before your appointment, or if you are coming from work, shower in the morning. You may want to bring wipes to freshen up when you arrive.

When should I shave? Ideally, your hair should be around a quarter-inch long. For most people, this is about four weeks of hair growth after your last shave, wax, or other hair removal method. We can wax the area if there is less than this, but regrowth may be faster.

We recommend you wear loose clothing to your appointment.

If you find the treatment uncomfortable, you may want to take pain relief such as paracetamol.
We don’t recommend this treatment when you are near to or on a period, as it can be more uncomfortable at this time.

Post-Treatment Advice

Avoid tight clothing after treatment.

Don’t expose the area to sunlight or tanning beds for at least 48 hours.
Avoid exercise, swimming, sauna and steam rooms for 48 hours. It’s fine to have a warm bath or shower but avoid exposing the area to hot or cold temperatures.

Use gentle moisturising products on the area and nothing perfumed that will irritate the skin.

Gently exfoliate the area 48 hours after 2-3 times a week to prevent ingrowing hairs.

Book your next wax in around 6 weeks’ time, depending on your regrowth.

Pigmentation Removal with IPL / Laser

At Cheshire Lasers, we use our very effective Lynton Lasers Lumina Machine a for IPL and Laser for pigmentation removal.

laser pigmentation removal Cheshire

Intense Pulsed Light offers a very effective treatment for pigmented marks such as age/liver spots and freckles that appear on the face and hands.

Laser treatment can remove deeper, larger areas of pigmentation such as birthmarks. Both treatments are non-invasive and result in a more even skin tone.

Consultation Procedure

Prior to any treatment our Level 4 IPl and Laser technician will provide a full consultation.

The consultation identifies your expectations and provides a complete explanation of the treatment. A medical history is taken to confirm suitability for treatment and if you wish to proceed a written informed consent is obtained and a test patch is performed to confirm that there are no adverse skin reactions to the light.

How do Intense Pulsed Light and Lasers work?

Intense Pulsed Light systems release precisely controlled very short pulses of filtered light that are absorbed by the melanin in freckles, sun spots or liver spots. The pigmented area absorbs the light and is heated, and is removed by skin renewal. Following treatment, the pigmented area turns darker and may crust. Over the following weeks, the pigmented area will gradually flake away from the skin leaving little trace of the original mark.

How is the Pigmentation Removal treatment carried out?

You will be asked to put on goggles to protect your eyes. In Intense Pulsed Light treatments, a layer of chilled gel is applied to the area to guide light into the skin. The area may also be cooled to increase comfort during treatment. The light applicator is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated. The chilled gel is removed and the area cooled.

Am I suitable for treatment?

We can treat most pigmentation marks such as age/liver spots and freckles that appear on the face and hands.

However due to the way IPL and Lasers work we cannot treat you if you have:

  • Dark skin ( type 4-6)
  • Tanned skin (even if it is a few weeks old)
  • Skin with fake tan remaining

We can only treat skin types 1-3 for pigmentation removal.

We can not treat all pigmentation, large, dark moles can not be treated, nor can we treat large areas of pigment of the body. The pigmented marks that respond the best are superficial lesions such as those caused by sun damage (sun spots) and freckles.

If you are not suitable for treatment, we have a range of highly effective alternative treatments, such as Cysteamine Cream, we can advise you about.

How does the treatment feel?

Most patients describe the discomfort as moderate and acceptable. No anaesthesia is required. Sensations vary but most describe it as a very short hot pinprick.

What should I expect after the IPL / Laser Pigmentation Removal treatment?

The area will be tender for several days after treatment. After Intense Pulsed Light treatment, the lesion will darken and may appear more obvious, but will gradually fade and ‘flake’ off over the following weeks. After laser treatment, an initial whitening of the area is seen which quickly fades and the pigmentation will fade over the following few weeks. It is important that any crusts are not picked so the skin can heal naturally.

What are the side effects of an IPL / Laser Pigmentation Removal treatment?

Provided you do not have dark skin or tanned skin, patients experience very few side effects.

You may experience redness, which can be quite obvious immediately afterwards. This usually reduces quickly in a few hours and disappears within a few days.

The skin of some patients becomes darker where the pigment was treated but this usually flakes off after a few days but can take up to a week.  Sometimes the skin becomes lighter and sometimes small blisters may form in the treated area.

How long does each treatment take?

The length of each treatment will depend on the type and size of lesion present, but a typical session will take 15 to 30 minutes.

How many treatments are necessary?

The number of treatments will depend on the type and size of the pigmented mark present, but most marks need about 2 to 4 treatments. Sometimes only one is needed, and rarely 5. Treatments should take place approximately every 4 to 6 weeks. Occasionally marks do not respond well, and we will know about this after your patch test and first treatment.

How much is laser and IPL pigmentation removal?

Laser and IPL pigmentation removal starts from £60 for a single pigment spot. Prices are per treatment and depend on the size of the area treated. A consultation and patch test costs £30.

Neck Treatments

Neck Rejuvenation treatments at Cheshire Lasers Middlewich

Neck Rejuvenation and Turkey Neck Treatments at Cheshire Lasers

Our face and body do not age evenly. There are areas, such as the Neck, where the skin is thinner, which can show signs of premature ageing. After the eye area, the skin on the Neck is the most delicate. It contains far fewer elastin fibres than the face, resulting in a weaker supporting structure. The Neck also lacks fatty tissue, which supports the skin.

As we age, women, in particular, can lose their long, slender necks as the jawline becomes heavier, leading to a double chin. The skin can become thin and crepey, developing fine lines and deeper wrinkles. The skin also loses its elasticity, becoming loose and saggy, known unflatteringly as ‘turkey neck’.

Neck lines can appear as part of the natural ageing process. Our natural skin cell turnover decreases as we age, and the collagen we naturally produce depletes. This, as well as exposure to the sun and neglect of the Neck in our daily routines, can cause necklines to become more prominent and add age to our overall appearance.

The Neck is often one of the most exposed areas of the body, and therefore, it is essential to protect it against damage. A moisturising cream with SPF 30 or higher should be applied daily to ensure that the Neck does not become dehydrated and is protected against harmful UV rays from the sun.

Most men and women seeking treatment for the neck area are looking to firm, tighten and lift loose, sagging skin, reduce fine lines, improve the jawline, and prevent the appearance of wrinkles that deepen as we age.

Classically, the main concerns related to the Neck and décolletage include:

  • Skin laxity
  • Fine lines,
  • Neck lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Crepey skin
  • Double chin
  • Turkey neck

Neck Rejuvenation Treatment choices:

At Cheshire Lasers, a wealth of minimally invasive neck Rejuvenation Treatment options are available. This is where the value of a thorough initial assessment comes in, to advise you about your best treatment choices for your individual needs.

Treatment options include injectable treatments, energy devices such as Radiofrequency, Radiofrequency Microneedling or HIFU, Standard Microneedling and high-quality topical cosmeceutical treatments.

Injectable Treatments and Threadlifts:

Botulinum toxin – ‘Nefertiti lift’

Named after the famous youthful jawline of the Egyptian queen, the Nefertiti neck lift involves injections of botulinum toxin into the lower jaw and neckline. The number of injections varies depending on muscle bulk and definition.
Best suited to patients with overactive platysmal muscles pulling down the face or creating platysmal bands.

Dr Kyra Drinnan and Dr  Kathryn Hazlehurst perform this treatment.

Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA)-based dermal fillers aim to replenish lost moisture and improve volume and elasticity, making them a suitable option for treating the delicate skin of the décolletage.
Alternatively, Radiesse can be used as a collagen stimulator to improve skin texture and tighten skin. The result is plumper, smoother, less wrinkly skin.
Compared to traditional HA dermal filler injection, the treatment involves superficial micro-injections of filler to create small blebs along the valley of wrinkles.

Dr Kyra Drinnan performs Hyaluronic acid Dermal filler and Radiesse treatments in the Neck.

Profhilo

Profhilo is a skin booster engineered for ‘skin remodelling’. It is made from hyaluronic acid, like many dermal fillers. However, rather than filling lines, it promotes collagen and elastin production to reduce skin laxity and boost skin hydration. Profhilo’s unique characteristics make it an excellent treatment for neck rejuvenation. It improves skin texture and laxity easily in 2 sessions, with a 1-month interval. Profhilo is suitable for practically anyone, men and women, from 30 years old and with no upper age limit. Some people require a third treatment for the best results.

This treatment is slightly uncomfortable but is quick and easy to perform.

Dr Teri Johnson, Dr Kyra Drinnan and Dr  Kathryn Hazlehurst perform this treatment.

Skin Boosters

Cheshire Lasers now offers a range of injectable skiboosters,rs which are alternatives tdermal fillers.

Non-Invasive Energy Devices:

The following treatments stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. This increase in collagen helps strengthen the skin and improve wrinkles, tone, texture and laxity. Our aestheticians perform the following Neck Rejuvenation treatments at Cheshire Lasers:

Ultraformer III

Ultraformer III uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) with the newest paradigm of advanced technology – MMFU (Micro Macro Focused Ultrasound)

At Cheshire Lasers Clinic, the Ultraformer Neck Rejuvenating treatment delivers the best treatment for a turkey neck. It is very good at lifting and tightening the sagging jowl area. It slims the fatty pockets under the chin and jowl that pull the face and neck down, while stimulating collagen and elastin to tighten the skin.

The technology creates a lift in the skin and at the deep muscle layer (SMAS) underneath. Previously this area was reached only by a surgical facelift. It rarely causes any downtime and most people require just one treatment.

Some people find this treatment uncomfortable.

Find out more about Ultraformer III here.

RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling delivers energy under the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin using the power of radiofrequency and microneedling. It is an excellent treatment for neck rejuvenation, as it not only stimulatecollagenhe growtn but also resurfaces the skin.

The downtime is very short, usually 6 to 24 hours.

You may need up to three treatments to achieve the best results.

The treatment is uncomfortable, similar to Ultraformer;  however, we apply topical anaesthesia to improve the discomfort.

Find out more about RF Microneedling here this treament is provided by our level 4 aestheticians.

Neogen Plasma

Delivers Plasma energy to the skin, causing mild trauma that triggers healing, repair, and new collagen production.

The downtime is relatively short, from a day or two to a week, depending on the intensity.

A course of treatments is always needed for best results.

The treatment is uncomfortable, similar to RF microneedling and Ultraformer.

Find out more about Neogen Plasma Skin Rejuvenation here.

Radiofrequency

At Cheshire Lasers, we use Endymed or the ThermaClinic radiofrequency machines for Neck Rejuvenation.

Radiofrequency energy gently promotes collagen production and contraction of collagen fibres. This restructures, rejuvenates and tightens the skin. Most people require a course of 6 treatments for the best results.

Radiofrequency is a comfortable, safe treatment which can be quite relaxing.

The Endymed is a more advanced machine that penetrates slightly deeper than the ThermaClinic and is slightly more expensive. Both treatments are performed by our level 4 aestheticians.

Microneedling

Dr Kyra Drinnan and    Kathryn Hazlehurstperform microneedling to the neck. They both use a microneedling pen device.

Topical Treatments for the Neck

At Cheshire Lasers, we recommend and stock the following products for the neck:

pHformula NECK recovery

ZO Skin Health Neck Complex.

Combination Therapy:

Many treatments work best synergistically, so exploring the combination treatment option is helpful.

For best results, consider one of the following treatments for collagen production.

Then, depending on your needs, combine this with injectable treatments such as Botox to relax the neck muscles or Profhilo for extra hydration.

Consider skin resurfacing or skin peels for the skin texture

Do not forget to enhance the results with optimum skincare.
